Grab the opportunity to dive into Berlin’s startup scene

More and more, Berlin is seen as one of the most vibrant european startup scene. And it’s true: things are moving fast there!

My fellow blogger Adelina invited me to a new kind of conference – Tech Open Air Berlin Festival – taking place on August 23rd & 24th.
TOA is an innovative summer festival made by the community for the community, which has leveraged the crowdfunding approach to test the support of the tech scene and get the minimal financing (they overcame it!) for the event. That’s alone is worth writing on, for me!

Focus of the festival will be the networking between participants and not especially with the guys on stage (but the speakers’ panel is worth listening – from serial entrepreneurs to prominent investors). Hundreds of people from across Europe are expected and the organizers hope to see attendees share their passion for entrepreneurship, technology, creativity and innovation.
First day will be in an open air location (in a former soap factory – hey, THAT’s how it is in Berlin!), and second day will be see numerous satellite events spread all over Berlin (at coworking places, start-up offices (barbecue…), etc.). Workshops, hackathons, speeches and parties are waiting for you!

Everyone can organize their own events on a crowdsourced agenda. Start-up from outside Berlin can get help from the organizers (to find a partnerring local start-up to host an event, find a venue, etc.) by simply writing them down an email.

Aim of the festival is really to connect people that share passion for technologies and innovations, and let them inspire each others.

If you’re an entrepreneur active on mobile and web technologies, Berlin is a city to go. This event seems really interesting to start building your own network in this growing start-up hot spot. As a Swiss entrepreneur, I think that a trip there could pay off!

Adelina managed to offer you a 5% discount on ticket price, that you can get by entering the promotional code StartupolicReader.
